1.Information We Collect

• Account Information: When you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and role (Homeowner or Technician).
• Profile Information: Address, city, state, ZIP code, and geographic coordinates for service matching.
• Identity & License Documents (Technicians only): Government-issued ID photo, trade license photo, and license number for verification purposes.
• Service Information: Job descriptions, photos you upload, service addresses, scheduled dates, and communication history.
• Payment Information: We do not store credit card numbers. Payments are processed by Stripe; we receive confirmation tokens and payout records only.
• Usage Data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and features used — collected automatically via cookies and similar technologies.
• Communications: Messages sent between Homeowners and Technicians through the Platform, and correspondence with our support team.
• Location Data: Approximate location for service matching (with your permission).

2.How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account.
• To match Homeowners with Technicians based on location, specialty, and availability.
• To process payments and payouts through Stripe.
• To verify Technician licenses and facilitate background checks.
• To send booking confirmations, job status updates, and important account notifications.
• To send marketing emails (you can opt out at any time via the unsubscribe link).
• To improve our Platform through analytics and usage data.
• To investigate disputes, fraud, and violations of our Terms of Service.
• To comply with legal obligations, court orders, or law enforcement requests.
• To enforce our Terms of Service and protect the safety of our community.

3.Information We Share

• With Technicians: Your first name, approximate neighborhood, and job description are shared with matched Technicians. Your full address is shared only after a job is confirmed.
• With Homeowners: A Technician's name, photo, ratings, verified license information, and contact info are shared after job acceptance.
• Stripe: Payment processing. Stripe receives your payment details and, for Technicians, identity and bank account information. Stripe's Privacy Policy governs their use of this data.
• Firebase (Google): Authentication services. Firebase processes your email and device information to manage sign-in.
• Cloudinary: Photo hosting. Images you upload are stored and served through Cloudinary.
• Law Enforcement: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of HogarFix AI, our users, or the public.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
• We do NOT sell your personal information to third parties for advertising purposes.

4.Cookies & Tracking Technologies

• Essential Cookies: Required for authentication, security, and core Platform functionality. Cannot be disabled.
• Analytics Cookies: Help us understand how users interact with the Platform (pages visited, features used). You can opt out via our cookie banner.
• Preference Cookies: Remember your language and display preferences.
• We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
• You can manage cookie preferences via the cookie banner displayed on your first visit, or by clearing cookies in your browser settings.

5.Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. After account deletion, we retain anonymized transaction records for accounting and legal compliance for 7 years. License and identity verification documents are retained for 3 years after account deletion to comply with legal requirements. Chat messages and service records are deleted within 90 days of account deletion.

6.Your Rights

• Access: You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you.
• Correction: You may update incorrect or incomplete information via your account settings.
• Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and personal data via your account settings. See "Delete My Account" in Settings.
• Opt-Out of Marketing: Click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or contact support@hogarfixai.com.
• Data Portability: You may request your data in a machine-readable format.

7.CCPA Rights for California Residents

• Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have additional rights:
• Right to Know: You may request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
• Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to Opt-Out of Sale: We do not sell personal information. You therefore have no need to opt out.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.
• To submit a CCPA request, email support@hogarfixai.com with "CCPA Request" in the subject line. We will respond within 45 days.

8.CAN-SPAM Compliance

• We comply with the CAN-SPAM Act. All marketing emails include our physical address and a clear unsubscribe mechanism.
• We will honor opt-out requests within 10 business days.
• We do not use deceptive subject lines or sender information.
• Transactional emails (booking confirmations, account security) cannot be opted out of as they are essential to the service.
• To unsubscribe from marketing emails, click "Unsubscribe" in any email or contact support@hogarfixai.com.

9.Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive data, access controls limiting who can view personal information, and regular security audits. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password.

10.Children's Privacy

HogarFix AI is not directed to persons under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a person under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will delete it immediately.

11.Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the Effective Date and, where appropriate, by email. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
